One of the Schopenhauer's inspirations (especially in "On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of sufficient Reason") gives a classical perspective on the modern German thought. Wonderful!!!

Dream Yourself Awake
Published in Paperback by Abbeyfield Publishers (September, 2000)
Author: Darlene Montgomery
Average review score:

Dream yourself Awake
I found this book to be very compelling. I wanted to keep reading and kept going back each night to follow the story. It isn't just about dreams in the sense one would think but a journey as if the dreams were her life in a sense as she sees it from the inside. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in spirituality and finding their true purpose.

Econometric Models in Marketing
Published in Hardcover by JAI Press (01 January, 2002)
Authors: Philip Hans Franses and A. L. Montgomery
Average review score:

An Excellent Source for Modern Econometric Marketing Models
"Econometric Models in Marketing" provides an excellent overview of current econometric modeling techniques used by leading marketing academics. An important component of this book, in comparison with other marketing texts, is the emphasis on linking statistical models and economic theory - the structural approach. Several chapters demonstrate the tremendous opportunities for economic theory to help guide the marketing researcher in choosing the appropriate data and the model specification. The book also shows how economic theory can help control for misleading estimation biases. At the same time, it recognizes the limitations of theory for providing useful information to the researcher.

Edward Hopper: The Watercolors
Published in Hardcover by W.W. Norton & Company (01 September, 1999)
Authors: Virginia M. Mecklenburg, Edward Hopper, Margaret Lynne Ausfeld, National Museum of American Art (U.S.), and Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
Average review score:

An Excellent Addition to Anyone's Collection!
When I read a book on a specific artist, I approach it from three different angles. I am an artist first and foremost, a graphic designer by profession, and employed by a library. This book ranks five stars in all three categories. It's usually pretty easy to find an art book with really good color reproductions or with really good text, but to find one such as this with both is a true find. The author's insightful and intelligent writing combined with the wonderful color reproductions really puts you right in Edward Hoppers world. It's also what makes this book an excellent addition to anyones collection!

Eisenhower Versus Montgomery
Published in Hardcover by Praeger Publishers (November, 1996)
Author: G. E. Patrick Murray
Average review score:

The controversy made clear.
"Let us have no part in the profitless quarrels in which other men will inevitably engage as to what country, what service, won the European war." Eisenhower's Victory Order of the Day, 8 May 1945.
The profitless quarrels emerged early, on both sides of the Pond, initiated by unscrupulous journalists and soon drawing in the principals, neither of whom welcomed the controversy. Murray carefully and effectively traces the newspaper stories, memoirs, and official histories to clarify the nature of Ike's and Monty's strategic and tactical disagreements, and to reveal the sources of the ethnocentric axe-grinding which marred the victory, and provides employment for unprincipled muck-stirrers to this day, to the detriment of Anglo-American unity. Professor Murray has been kind enough not to name them, but they know who they are.
"Extremists on both sides of the water can indulge in all the backbiting and name-calling that they please - they can never get away from the historical truth that the United States and the British Empire, working together, did a job that looked almost impossible at the time it was undertaken". (Eisenhower).

Embroidery: 25 Classic Step-By-Step Projects (Traditional Needle Arts)
Published in Hardcover by Thunder Bay Press (May, 1900)
Authors: Katrin Cargill and David Montgomery
Average review score:

Beautiful photos and well organized book.
This is a book that Martha Stewart would be proud of. The photos are beautiful, and the book is well organized. It's great for beginners as well as those with higher skill levels, but, most importantly, it tells you HOW to make each project. You are given the needle size, color, and fabric and instructions on finishing. The projects are beautiful to make and doesn't give you the "granny" projects that some books have.

Escape (Choose Your Own Adventure, No 20)
Published in Paperback by Bantam Books (May, 1983)
Authors: Raymond A. Montgomery and Richard Brightfield
Average review score:

Totalitarian Freedom Forever
A cold war era vision of a future where the United States disintigrates into smaller regions, where one specifically in the west (called Dorado) falls into totalitarianism (!) complete with a stylized triangle shaped pinwheel symbol that implies a swastika. The reader is part of a rogue resistance group, whose over goal is to undermine the neofascist regime but more immediately - to escape (and hence the title.)

My favorite of R.A. Montgomery's CYOA books. I don't want to spoil much, just beware the treacherous Hayden.

Everest Adventure! (Choose Your Own Adventure, No 145)
Published in Turtleback by Demco Media (March, 1994)
Authors: A. C. Montgomery and Ron Wing
Average review score:

Great Book
This is a great book. Montgomery takes you right up the mountain. You live and die by your decisions. The right ones bring benefits and adventure. The wrong ones . . . well, can lead you into trouble. This is one of my favorite books. The character development is incredible. It's as if the characters are people I grew up with. I definitely recommend it!
